Valentine’s Day Outfit for the Petite Plus

When it comes to finding perfect outfits for special occasions, unfortunately, petite plus-size options are few and far between. Not so often I’ve stumbled upon an articles or blog posts that specifically speak to being petite and plus sized. They’re out there if you’re willing to do a little searching.

With Valentine’s around the corner – a romantic day taking place during Toronto’s first long weekend since Xmas holidays, I’ve allowed myself a few extra days off work to just enjoy being single in the city. My plan is to combine lots of ME time with at least one day of complete indulgence at a Spa with a gf(s) + a fab dinner + good wine, where we have an excuse to get all dolled-up and paint the town red…or pink, my fav!

Marie Denee aka The Curvy Fashionista is a well-known plus sized diva and blogger who has put together a few Valentines Day looks specifically for the curvy petite woman. Take a look at what she’s come up with – just love her style!

Social Media Enthusiast. Learning Designer. Curvy Fashionista. I'm a 30-something Canadian born Bengali (parents are from Kolkata, India...for those of you who need to know that type of thing). I've been chubby-curvy-plus-sized my entire life. Standing at a height of 5'2 and with a darker complexion, it has always been a challenge finding outfits or "looks" that really suit me. Living in the fashionable city of Toronto since birth, with a solid career has finally allowed me to embrace my love of pretty fashions in clothing, shoes and everything in between.

  1. Thanks for the post (and the ideas)! Did you know that you’re my ONLY source of fashion ideas? A lot of the other stuff out there doesn’t interest me because the bloggers / models don’t look like me and what’s the point about loving the clothes they write about when they’re not going to look good on me – or worse yet – don’t come in my size. 😦

    Enjoy your time off!

    1. I’m thrilled to know I’m your only followed source. Sadly being a shorty like me or a friendly giant like you does leave us with fewer avenues to consult with. But I’m hoping to fill that void for my petite peeps. You’re a fashionable babe, start writing about your outfits for the Tall Gals 🙂 xo
