In my short time blogging I’ve been very fortunate to have met some fantastic, inspiring new people. People who truly encourage and support the endeavours of bloggers within the plus size community, who operate with the true spirit of collaboration. Stefanie Augusteijn, Owner of SexyPlus Clothing embodies all of this – she talks the talk, and walks the walk. Earlier this week she threw a soiree… a Blogger Exclusive …to preview the fabulous Fall fashions her lovely boutique has to offer.
Dresses! Jackets! Boots! Jewellery! Wine and Cake!
Best. Wednesday Night. Ever!!!!
Ok let me introduce you to all who were in attendance —
back row (left to right): McKinna, the lovely SexyPlus Clothing shopgirl; Tierra Sedgemore of Size Sexy; Erica of Erica Exposed; Thera of Cloud14+; Annika of CandiApple Couture; Sarah of Big Hips Red Lips; Karen of Curvy Canadian
front row (left to right): Maryanne, Owner/Designer of My Beaded Designs; Lisa of Ginger Won’t Snap; Jessica of Clothes & Shit; Moi, Petite Plus, Meow!….and sitting up front is SexyPlus Clothing’s Stefaine.

We were lucky to have the creative, photographic talents of Rebecca Northcott, Rebecca Northcott Photography on hand to capture all the moments of the event. I’ve peppered my blogpost with a few of my favourites 🙂

Naturally, I HAD to try on a few items of course…. any of these strike YOUR fancy for Fall friends? Special shoutouts to go the lovely shop-girls, McKina and Sabrina who were uber attentive and helpful, providing honest opinions and encouragement once you’re ready to emerge from the change rooms.
Overall, it was a fantastic night. Or in the words of Miss Stefanie:
It was a girl-power-curvy-positive-collaborative-fashion-princess-empowering-sizesexy kind of night.

So … the big question – what did I go home with? 🙂
1. A gorgeous statement necklace by Victorious Me, a Toronto-based retailer
2. A long slit dress, custom made for SexyPlus Clothing by Ralph C also made in Canada – $99…reduced to $25!!!! Crazytown score – hooray for me!
3. The newsprint dress: made in Canada by Artex, called the Jax dress, new Fall arrival priced at $89 — a steal and a half!!!
I even got my very own MEME out of the night … words to live by, I think 😉
So, waddya think of my Fall haul? See anything you like from SexyPlus Clothing‘s Fall Arrivals?

Fun! Great finds! That jacket was amazing on you..wow!
Thanks so much Liz!! I know….it broke my heart to leave that jacket…sigh. Just couldn’t spend THAT much on one piece of clothing. Fingers crossed for it go to on sale!!! 🙂
For starters, your outfit for the night was super cute. As for your haul, that maxi dress was a serious steal and I love the newsprint dress and the necklace. Of the other stuff you tried on, the first blue dress looks great on you and I LOVE the black and white sweater. I have yet to go to Sexy Plus but would love to go. If you don’t mind sending me one of those discount cards I’d appreciate it.
Thank you so much Marija … I absolutely fell in love with everything I tried on that night. It was a real struggle to control my spending – I’m so thrilled you liked all the pieces I brought home with me. That long dress with the high slit needs absolutely ZERO shortening!! That’s a rare occurrence as I’m sure you can appreciate being a petite miss yourself. As for the SexyPlus discount card, for sure – one now as YOUR name on it friend, and it’s on the way to you! Happy Fall Shopping, xo
That is a super rare occurrence that I wouldn’t have to hem something, especially something that’s supposed to be long. Do I need to send you a message with my address or is the discount card electronic? Maybe we can plan a shopping date????
Email me at petiteplusmeow@gmail.com or use the form under my “contact” page to send me your mailing address babe. Happy shopping.
I don’t know if I should say this since you already said the jacket is out of the price range, but damn that looks good on you! You look like a fun person to shop with by the way:)
Thanks Van!!!! I’ve been dreaming about that jacket. Oh to be independently wealthy. Sigh..,. 🙂
Thanks for commenting and for the compliments friend!
